Army thwarts infiltration attempt by 4 individuals
AMMAN — The Southern Military Region thwarted on Sunday an infiltration attempt by four individuals across one of its border fronts.
Border Guard forces detected the suspects attempting to cross the border illegally and applied the rules of engagement, arresting all four individuals before transferring them to competent authorities for legal action, according to a Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) statement.
The operation falls within the ongoing efforts of the JAF to protect borders and curb illegal crossing attempts through high readiness and continuous surveillance.
Border Guard forces continue performing their duties to safeguard the Kingdom’s security and sovereignty, countering any illegal activities that threaten national security.
